I visited the store on 8999 Balboa Blvd. Northridge, CA on 7-30-10 at 1:50PM with my disabled mother who has alzheimer's and lung cancer and has great difficulty walking. We entered the store and found there were 4 electric wheelchairs with large baskets all in non working order. There were not any signs on them to let us know they were not working. They had 2 manual wheelchairs but each of them had no foot rest attachments. A staff person told us the batteries were not working on the electic wheelchairs and they did not know when they were going to get new batteries. They did not have the foot rests for the manual wheelchairs. They were not able to accomodate us so we left the store not being able to shop.

We went to another nearby Target Store 5711 Sepulveda Bl. Van Nuys, CA at 2:25. They had 4 electric wheelchairs, 3 marked with red tags.."do not use" and one which looked availbe but was not working. The staff called upstairs to see if there were any working wheelchairs there and there were not. They did have an oversized wheelchair with foot rests and my mother held a small shopping basket on her lap. We could not put too much into the basket so did not shop long, but we did get a few things that we needed.
