I am employed by Centennial Communications, a small regional cellular company. It used to be Cellular One.

It is a subsidiary of ALLTEL! Could have figured that one out! Well, in selling phones and accessories for this company a recurring themekeeps popping up: CUSTOMERS ARE RIPPED OFF AND SO ARE THE SALESPEOPLE!

The customer ends up with LOTS of features and options that the salesperson puts on the bill BECAUSE THEY ARE ORDERED TO BY MANAGEMENT. When the customer gets his first bill-OH MY GOD! Talk about cancellations! Of course! And who are they mad at? The SALESPERSON!

This company does not give a damn about its employees or its saleforce. They screw everybody - they are not prejudiced! The salesperson earns commissions, but up until 6 months IF THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT PAY THE BILL, ITS IN DISPUTE, WHATEVER - the COMMISSION IS DEDUCTED FROM THE SALESPERSONS NEXT COMMISSION! You could conceivably end up with NO COMMISSIONS one month - even if you were expecting a hefty check - because Centennial has screwed so many customers, over and over, and threatened them, and harassed them, and cut off their phone EVEN AFTER PAYMENTS WERE MADE (CLERICAL ERRORS!?) so for every NEW customer they get, they lose about 4-5! No joke. Check their stock - it's dropped more than HALF in a year - and it's their own fault! The salesforce changes DAILY!

Each month another new group of fresh, excited people are hired and others are fired, Constant changeover in personnel. Another thing the customers don't like.

And the management is RUDE-blatantly rude to customers! The customer service reps are even more rude! They just ASSUME you are wrong because YOU ARE THE CUSTOMER - and Centennial is always right! So the customer has a battle before it even begins.

They harass the customers re: paying a bill - then SHUT OFF THE PHONE! And these are customers that have been with the company for YEARS! One Late Bill and its over! The service in Texas really sucks bad - you can drive from one small city to the next and lose your connection about 6-8 times in between, then when you get where you are going, NO SERVICE! Other cell phone companies in the area do not have that PROBLEM! It's Centennial - their customer service sucks, their rate plans suck, their phones suck, and the even screw their employees!

If you know anyone in Southeast Texas and Louisiana who has a CENTENNIAL phone and service contract, PLEASE DIRECT THEM TO THIS WEBSITE! They need to vent and then move over to VERIZON!
