Homedics.com Products are JUNK & Customer Service is extremely RUDE

Last year, I purchased a homedics foot bath as a gift for my boyfriend. Within a month the item started leaking from the bottom. Since it was still under warranty, I tried to return it. I had to pay $15 for shipping to send it back after no one would answer the phone service or email to provide me with some kind of shipping label. I had to call them a month later to find out that they received it. (For each time I got a rep on the phone, I was hung up on three times by their answering service, or put on hold for more than 20minutes with no answer)

Finally they said they would refund my purchase price only, not the shipping. I tried to tell them that the card I had purchased this item on was cancelled, and give them my mailing address so they can send me a check, but they said they have to try to submit the refund first to a closed account and then they would send me the check. After getting countless "managers" on the phone who refuse to give me a direct number or full name, I was told by the most rude of them all, that they would have to listen to my previous calls to them, to verify that I did tell them about my closed account.

Almost a year later, they are still saying they submitted my refund to a closed bank account. I had to call the bank (which is difficult when you are no longer a customer) and they have confirmed that no charge was posted to my account. Still HoMedics will not refund my money. Each time I contact them them, they take over a month to reply, and just say that the money is with the bank.

This company is the most disgusting customer service I have ever dealt with. Even if there is a problem with the refund, they should never tell a customer, "I don't believe you". Why would I be fighting you for a year over $50 if I got my refund? They are concerned more with ripping people off than providing good customer service. No one I spoke to ever had the same story as the last rep, and their rudeness is only surpassed by the terrible quality of their products.
