Tried to change bank account from previous owner's names and they applied charges from a pre-existing account!

Our company had just undergone new management/ownership and we decided to use the credit card machine left by the previous owners. I contacted the company whos name was on the machine for service to activate the machine and was sent a form via fax to change the bank information. I told them this was a NEW account and that if there were any previous charges, that I would not be responsible for them. They THEN sent information regarding their lease agreement which was an OUTRAGEOUS amount! ($68.00 per month with no pay-off) of which we decided wasn't feasible for our small company at this time. I never filled out the contract or sent them any information that we would do business with them. The next thing I knew, my account was drafted $331.66 for the lease on that machine without ANY authorization. This matter is still under investigation.
