False advertisement and Insurance Scam

As can bee seen by many other reports here, in the past 2 months Radio Shack has built up quite the track record.

As I was in a rush when purchasing my phone (which I now regret), I went ahead and said sure throw on the phone insurance.

I had SPECIFICALLY asked the representative if this covered broken screens, spill damage etc. I had also inquired as that I would receive a replacement phone IMMEDIATELY upon the event of a problem with my phone. The sales representative ensured me that their insurance covered all this.

Well, here's what happened - my phone stopped charging properly (going into a charge loop, thinking it's charging when it's not), and I'd never dropped the phone, or anything else of the likes. I took it to a representative with my receipt and such, showed that I have the insurance and the new representative had told me that it's a repair-only insurance policy.

Here's the GREAT thing about the repair policy, you get NO phone from RadioShack in immediate replacement (you have to be with out a phone, and send it into to their repair shop - which I'm assuming they probably just send it to the manufacturer), and it just so HAPPENS that it doesn't cover ANYTHING besides malfunctions - which is quite interesting because;

Samsung Warranty is a year long Warranty, and it covers EXACTLY what RadioShack does. Now, does that make sense?

Samsung's Warranty does exactly what Radio Shack's 60$ repair only "insurance" does. So therefore, I was sold insurance for virtually NO reason, considering my phone was covered under the warranty under the premise of malfunction.

If I we're to have accidentally damaged my phone - that would NOT have been covered under RadioShack's 60$ insurance.

This is a blatant scam, and I will be pursuing this matter legally under the premise of false advertisement if I do not receive compensation for my issues with RadioShack and I suggest that any of you having similar issues do the same. This is unfair and down right evil, especially to those who are not so well off.

RadioShack will not be receiving my money any more, that much is for certain.
