I am entering an additional report. I am making it a separate entry so it will stand out and because the updates I have placed are not showing. The word needs to get out. Columbiatel is in Chapter 11. They filed as of April 21. This is why they send bad checks. They are out of money. Or at least they have pocketed or spent all they have seemingly obtained in what would appear to be a fraudulent manner.
For instance, after complaining to the BBB, Columbiatel issued two checks to my for $25 each on April 14. They were both refused. Given the time it takes to apply and process for court protection, they must have know about the filing when they made out the checks.in otherwords, by my estimation, they knew there would not be sufficient funds! They could have informed me of the pending filing. They could have informed me that they did not have the funds. What they did chose to do was to put off another couple of weeks and add expense in the process. They don't deserve court protection.
