Jeffrey sends email to purchase my TV, then calls me from a very bizarre phone number. He states he will send a check for me to deposit for more than the amount of my tv ($500) plus $50 for my trouble to cash check and send difference to "driver" who is picking up several items he is purchasing around the country. He instructs "do not call or email the driver". I researched his name and have found similar scams associated with him and the other names noted in this report. I expect the check tomorrow and will have available for evidence. Contact Chief Steve Avery Pittsfield Maine police chief. Thank you.
