Poor quality product - 46" RCA LCD HDTV

I purchased a tv 3 years ago for $1,296. Within a year, the sound failed. They sent me to the "nearest" authorized repair site about 50 miles away. The repair shop was unable to repair it so they replaced it with a different model after several weeks in the shop. Just over 2 years later on the new tv, the exact same thing happens again where I have picture but no sound. After calling in to RCA and having the automated system disconnect me 4 times, I sent an e-mail. The customer service rep that returned my call told me there was nothing they could do aside from unwarrantied service and told me customers just needed to get used to the fact that flat screen tv's are only good for 4-6 years. If this had been the first occurrence of this issue after 3 years, I would not be upset to pay the bill on my dime. Since it is a recurring issue with two different models and has happened twice in just over 3 years, it seems like RCA could step up and do right by their customer. The motto on their tech support button on their website says "if you're not thrilled, we're not satisfied". Based on this experience, they should be very unsatisfied because I am far from thrilled!
