Steals money through deceptive practices ripoff

I ordered two Nextel phones over the telephone. The sales rep stated that the taxes and other hidden charges would not exceed ten percent. So far, they exceed twenty percent.

Nextel issued a number to one of the phones that a previuos subscriber had enabled text messaging. I clearly stated on the initial order that I did not want this service. I was being billed seventeen to tweny eight dollars a month extra for this.

I would call every month to complain, and the most common of the many different responses would be that to stop the text messaging, I would have to give up voice mail. I asked what the discount would be, since that was a service provided under the contract, and I was told none. Nextel would reduce the bill by the text amount but then, after five months, stated that they no longer would.

I had to change the number issued to my phone, which is not an easy task since many of my contact had my original. I asked that the new phone number not be one that had been recently returned. The person on the phone stated that she had no control over that. Two minutes after reprograming, the phone started to ring, with people asking for "B".

All hours of the day and night, I heard from collection companies and all kind of other people asking for drugs. The first callers stated that they had talked with B the day before. Be very aware of Nextel. Ask for everything in writing. Ask if you can record the phone conversation since they are. Should you decide, as an ordinary individual, to enter one of their contracts, be prepared to treated with indeference and contempt.
