Phone does not work

I purchased a smartphone that was advertised on TV the trade in your old phone for the smartphone. I was given a different phone that was advertised but it was a smartphone. After a couple of days the phone started acting up. I took the phone back to the cricket store where it was purchased the man just looked at me and said Sorry cant help you (Gastonia NC). I have called cricket numerous times telling them the phone does not work, I have talked to technical support who cant figure out why the phone is not working. Cricket has refused to help with this problem. I do not recommend Cricket as a cell phone provider. I have a phone that does not work and cant get the problem fixed!
