Shipped wrong freebie, charge restocking fee for returning orde

National Business Supply, Inc. (NBS) is not worth your time or money. I'm sorry I ever dealt with them. NBS is like a dog tick only harder to get rid of. Hang up and keep moving. Generally, products are better and their selling practices are ethical as they don't over-promise and under-deliver. NBS tries to lure you into buying by promising free goodies. This is an unethical practice, as you can be sure that the cost of these goodies is offset by the markup on their toner.By buying from NBS, you are in effect stealing from your employer (unless of course you are a sole proprieter:-).

NBS uses high pressure sales tactics, sells inferior products and doesn't ship what they promise.in my case, they didn't ship the free item they promised. Shame on me; it took a bit to think through the ethics of the freebies. Because of previous experience with NBS, I wasn't excited about doing business with them, but decided I'd give them another shot. Of course, they didn't deliver what they promised, and I decided I wanted to return the entire order and be done with NBS. Their order confirmation states that "Unauthorized returns WILL NOT be accepted & WILL BE subject to a RE-STOCKING FEE". What they don't tell you is that even if you call them to arrange a return, they won't authorize the return, and so they will charge a restocking fee.

Not all, but many NBS representatives have poor phone skills (they should look up Webster's definition for "dialogue"). I've had to hang up on some of their sales people because they won't take no for an answer or let me get a word in edge-wise. One fella had the audacity to call me back and in an angry tone inform me that I had hung up on him. I agreed that yes, I had, and hung up on him again.

One sure-fire way to get them off the phone: tell them your policy is to consider purchasing non-oem toner only if they are willing to first send you one cartridge for free, no strings attached.

Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company. Plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome.
