To Whom It May Concern:

My wife has a dangerous ex-husband, currently in prison, who has threatened to kill her and her children on many occasions. He is up for Parole in April, and may be released.in any event, he will definitely be released by April of because that is when his prison term is complete.

On several occasions, despite being in prison and despite having judicial restraining orders forbidding him to have any contact with my wife, he has obtained a phone (sometimes landline, sometimes cellular), blocked the caller I.D. Function on her phone, and has called her. She has become to unnerved by these episodes that during one of them she she lost control of the car she was driving and hit another vehicle.

The smart phone app (application) TrapCall was designed by the TelTechCorp to address just such a problem. The app automatically intercepts the incoming call before it reaches the smart phone, but allows the phone to ring showing that a "BLOCKED" call is coming through. My ex-wife simply pushes a button on her smart phone (an iPhone 3-G) rejecting the call, and a few seconds later TrapCall automatically sends a text page to her phone informing her of the "unmasked" true telephone number of the caller, as well as the caller's name, city, state, and sometimes his full address.

I have had a similar problem with my iPhone, having downloaded the TrapCall app, subscribing to the $24.95 per month service, in order to protect MYSELF from my own ex-wife — whom although our divorce was final in 2003 and both of our children are fully grown adults, still feels the need to call me and/or my wife on a semi-regular basis, harassing us both on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, the TrapCall on my iPhone is currently running a success rate of one successfully identified "Blocked" call out of every five. My wife is experiencing a similar ratio of one correctly identified "Blocked" call out of every five.

My wife and I have dangerous and potentially life-threatening situations occurring when we accidentally answer a blocked call by mistake, so we both purchased TrapCall to afford ourselves some measure of safety. Yet the product definitely does NOT perform as adventised.
