Unhelpful employees at New York store

Electronics and household app.
Went to best buy in NY to buy some electronics and I have to say that the employees were not that helpful. I am surprised because usually I have a good experience at Best Buy.
Have they changed something about their hiring policy. I want to know because I want to keep shopping at their store.
