I delivered my iPod vintage to kingiPod for restoration. They explained my audio documents wouldn't be damaged. They charged me $125 and delivered my iPod without my music, with no unique backplate that my spouse had etched for me personally, the "new" backplate was bent, the battery won't cost, plus they sugggested I seek Google for application to recuperate my music. Beware, Beware, Beware.
