VisionMax
Fred Herrmann projector scam, home theater scam, LCD scam, 1080p scam, projector screen scam, craigslist, Fred, golf, uncle, gift, faulty, missing features, ripoff

Electronics and household app.

My theory is that VisionMax, aka Paramax and formerly known as T R Theater Research Inc., either creates or imports extremely terrible home theater equipment, from projectors to surround sound and screens.

They price these faulty wares outrageously, usually quoting several thousand dollars. Then, as my theory goes, they enlist flunkies to sell these wares online at craigslist, ebay, etc.

The flunkies give a spiel about having won the item in a raffle or been gifted it from a relative. They don't need the item, so they're willing to let it go for a greatly reduced price.

It all sounds legit until you get the product home and notice missing or extremely faulty features, functioning and craftsmanship. There's no way these products are worth nearly what the MSRP sticker claims, and they know this.
