We bought a Sears Kenmore Elite fridge in Summer 2007.2 days after getting the fridge we recognized the fridge was dripping water, and have been doing this since installation. The water pump failed and water induced damage to the cellar roof and timber surfaces within the home creating 10K value of harm. This weekend (recall, freezer is just 2.5 yrs old) we'd a fireplace within the refrigerator. Fireplace was due to the lighting system overheating and burning the plastic housing. Burning smell was originating from refrigerator and food round the lighting housing was excessively warm (butter was dissolved, plastic pots around lighting were burning and distorted). Fires got from housing whenever we attempted to get rid of it, and it was also warm to the touch. Fortunately we've 2-feet of snow below and were ultimately ready to get rid of housing and released in ideal to cool without harmful drain/surfaces. It was certainly a fire risk and really should be considered a recognition once we have today googled the issue and evidently this can be a prevalent problem. Kenmore/LG must remember the illumination program within this refrigerator.
