Unable to assist in lack of phone reception, would like to get out of my contract

Electronics and household app.

I currently have two phones on my account and have been a US Cellular subscriber for approximately 10 years. Ever since I moved to my new apartment, my reception has been awful! It's not possible to make a phone call without it getting dropped—that is, unless I go to one specific location in the apartment and talk using the speaker mode only. Otherwise, if I move the phone (even a centimeter) around, my call will most definitely be dropped.

I went to the Brookfield, WI. Retail store location and the first person I spoke to was quite rude and seemingly unhelpful in the matter. I told her that friends of mine that are in my department have better/perfect reception with other phone providers and she told me, "I doubt that.US Cellular owns the whole Milwaukee area."

She then told me to call the customer service number from the retail location (not sure why she didn't call them). After speaking to the customer service representative, he told me it would be possible to switch to a different model of phone that may have better reception service in my apartment. However, I decided to just get that model as a loaner phone to test it out.

As it turns out, that phone was a bit better, but not by much. The only difference was it dropped calls a bit less frequently.

Then, after that, I spoke to a Technical Support Representative to see about the various towers in my area. He told me there was nothing that could be done. A day later, a woman from Tech. Support called to let me know she would like to get the matter looked into... I then told her about my previous session with Tech. Support and how the issue wouldn't be able to get established, and she had no idea that I already talked to Tech. Support and she apologized for them not looking into the matter at all.

A Tech. Support representative contacted me and my girlfriend (the other phone holder on my account), and looked into the area—he improved the reception, but it was only a little bit. We still lose calls like crazy and when my girlfriend went to follow-up with the lingering issue, the Tech. Support rep. Said that's all they can do. And that was that as far as they were concerned.

Nobody from US Cellular offered us any type of discounts on our bill for not being able to use our phone at our convenience. My girlfriend went over her text messages usage and US Cellular billed us more because of it. The whole reason more texts were being used was because it's easier to have text messages go through than it is to place a phone call.

No nothing from them and I find it quite absurd that they aren't trying their hardest to want me to stay as a US Cellular subscriber (which I have been since I was 16 yrs old!). I am currently locked up in a contract, but I would like to get out of it, without having to pay any kind of early termination fees.

If there is anything that can be done or suggested for me, that would be greatly appreciated!
