Sold Damaged Goods as "returns" - should have been salvage!

Electronics and household app.
I won three separate auctions at Liquidation.com. One of the lots was for five (5) Dell 17" screen laptop computers advertised as "returns".
When I picked these items up from the warehouse I was given a bunch of boxes all indicating DELL laptops from Staples. I opened the boxes and saw the laptops and left.
When I got home and opened the laptops up the screens were cracked on two of them, one of them did not power up and a third was not a 17" screen.
I immediately filed a dispute form, however the seller is now saying these items were checked at the warehouse by me and not reported then. I did not have access to an electrical outlet to power them on and therefore did not see the damage on the screens.
I spent $2,268 for these laptops and expect them to work or get my moeny refunded, which the seller refuses to do.
