Home audio scam Houston "The Woodlands"

I was approached outside of a bank in the Heights area of Houston. The gentleman was driving a four door, black truck and stated that he was a courier transporting equipment from a warehouse to his boss. He claimed that the manufacturer accidently had given him two sets of speakers instead of one and that this was not the first time this has happened. He informed me that he "tried to do the right thing, the first time there was an error by reporting the accident to his boss, yet his boss just took the extra package for himself and threatened him with his job if he told anyone." According to the scam artist, "he would rather give the speakers away (for a small price,) than to see them go to his a#@hole of a boss." I asked the gentleman to see the speakers, to get his card, and to call me from his cell phone, which he agreed to do all of the above.

Due to the fact that it was a 2 minute decision, I am a very trusting person, that I am a "sucker" for a "bargain, " and that i could debit cash immediately, I was a very easy target for him. Please do not fall in the same trap as I did. If you do, please brush it off and know that you and I can sleep well tonight because we make an honest living. Anyone who doesn't will have their judgement day one way or another... Personally, I am doing everything in my power to see that it happens sooner rather than later.
