Old model delivered, when purchased new

I bought 4 new Maytag applainces through Whirlpool, due to a home redesign, on May 12. These were mounted the 2nd week in June. The vented microwave, mounted above the range, didn't heat-up to prepare. The technician claims the circuit-board must be changed, and certainly will consider 10 times -2 wks to reach. Additionally, the dish about the stove, states that it had been stated in 2006. Our intention was to buy a brand new item; not just one that's currently 3 years old. Please clarify why I had been delivered a-3 yr-old item; I have a much it changed with a new-model. Leslie Dieme
