Overcharged when Quit Their Lowsy Service, Lied about charges, Now tacking on More Charges

Electronics and household app.

My mother wanted TV service and we were told that it would only cost 29.95 per month. We were never told about a contract. Mom moved and decided to get cable, but DirectTv tried to bill her for 2 years of service. We fought it.in fact we were supposed to get a free month as we had a coupon and a referral from our friends but they would not honor it.

So we kept the service and not only paid them every month but also cable because we needed internet access. The service was out for a while and we could not repair it from within our house so we called and we were told that they would have to send a representative out. I asked what the cost would be and I was told by the woman in Tech Support that there would be no charge if the problem was outside of the unit, which it was.

The dish was never mounted properly so the techs mounted it and also disconnected the cable hookups. We received a bill for $49.00 and the regular $29.95 bill and I disputed the charges but they refuse to take the charges off unless we come back as customers. I still refuse to pay this bill as I was told there would be no charge.

Then today, June 20 I received another bill for an additional $55.00 and all it says is extra charges. I also refuse to pay that charge. They have never sent a box for the return of their cable box so I still have it but I don't want it. I was told over a month ago that this box would be sent to us to return the box. We never received it. (I am assuming that this is what the extra $55.00 charge is.

WE had to have the Cable company come back out to repair the damage that this company did to our cable connections as we could get no cable tv at all. We were told that the connections were all disconnected and messed up They did not charge us a cent. A great company for Cable here in Redding. I would never recommend DirectTV!

They have absolutley NO business integrity and they company lies and manipulates. They are disorganized and have the poorest service I have ever experienced. Our service has always been very poor with this company. We were also supposed to get a free DVR after a couple of weeks and when I inquired I was told that it would be automatically sent to us and we never received anything!
