Rebate rip off promises one thing but then there is the fine print

Before Christmas I purchased 3 Sony TRV digital camcorders. Each one was $999. I was informed that I would receive a rebate of $100 for each camera.
I sent in all the proper documentation, and 6 weeks later received a check in the amount of $100. When I called, they informed me I was only entitled to one rebate per household. I read the fine print to them, which was 1 rebate per product per household. They said it was too bad and those were the rules.
I reported it to The Consumer Fraud Department, but have not heard anything.
