Trying to charge me full price for phones and early termination fee for changing my numbe

I opened new service through Best Wireless (t-mobile reseller) on February 7. I agreed to a 2 year contract and got my phones at a discount. While I was opening my service I asked if they could transfer my old number (which was with t-mobile) to my new service. The store told me that it was not possible but they could forward my calls from my old number to my new number. I needed this done due to all my business cards and business associates having that number. After I got home I contacted T-Mobile directly to have the calls transferred to my new number. They told me that the woman at the store was dead wrong and they could not transfer the calls but they could in fact change my number to my old service number.

T-mobile changed the number for me, my activation date remained the original Feb 7 and my account number remained the same as well, according to T-mobile I did a simple number change.

3 days later I get a call from BEST WIRELESS, the store that activated my phones and they say I interrupted my service and am in breach of the 6 month early termination clause. Now they want to charge me $550.00 for the phones and $300.00 Early termination fee on my 2 lines. I read the back of my contract and it states "you must maintain uninterrupted service for 6 consecutive months". My service has not been interrupted and it still has the same activation date, same account number and the same sim cards.

This is nothing but a ploy to get $850.00 from me. It does not state ANYWHERE on my paperwork that I can not change my phone number. They say that changing my number interrupted my service and I have to keep the same number for 6 months. What if I was getting constant crank calls... Are you seriously telling me I couldn't change my number... Get real!
