Wayne Dalton iDrive garage door opener = rubbish

I purchased the iDrive since it provided a fast and easy method of increasing a garagedoor opener. The look appeared innovative... Also it is really... But their execution of the engine/gearbox is significantly less than strong.

In only under annually, I Have burned up two engines (under guarantee) and a few months before they delivered me an entire new device under warranty and simply nowadays it burned up again. I am raising a typical 16' large X - 8' large protected metal door... Which is precisely balanced - therefore the operator is not working harder than it's to.

The largest problem is mainly only the electrical engine. They presumably created a brand new style for that electrical engine... Nevertheless when the heading gets difficult (cold-weather) - this factor tucks its end between its thighs and works away - despite the brand new engines.

Their customer care is just available from 8AM-5PM throughout the week (when youare at the office...) and restricted hours on Sunday - when you contact them, youare place in a queue and you've to become standing in the garagedoor to provide them figures after which do some troubleshooting with them about the point.

Obtaining replacement parts demands one to undergo a troubleshooting program (ensuring doorway is balanced by physically raising to different levels and ensuring it generally does not raise/drop by itself...) using their CS people... Truly so - they would like to make sure exactly what the issue is. The thing is that each period the engine fails... You are with no garagedoor operator for some months before new engine comes.

I am estimating that during the last year, this device continues to be along to get a whole of a few months.

I'd anticipated this works out, however now I'd like a reimbursement - we will notice when they come through with this. It was not a cheap operator...
