Your 5-year old Kenmore Elite Electric Array (design 790.9911) found fire yesterday and we were really lucky to get experienced the area.

I switched on one-burner to warm water and switched the (convection) stove onto warm some food.

Within 2 units, we noticed an electric crackling buzzing sound rather than the convection oven fan noise. I instantly attempted to show off the stove and dark smoke started flowing from the back of the stove and also the range wouldn't switch off. Within minutes, fires were firing from the back of the stove where the port grill is. My partner went to show off the primary energy in the home. Luckily the fires extinguished themselves before getting flame towards the units.

The fire team analyzed the stove and shops and stated all appeared to stay order - that it had been obviously an electric flame inside the range.

The technology of the range were cool from the beginning — the time never worked precisely, accelerating over time when the stove was being used. Although we lived with this specific quirk on the $1200 range, we didn't anticipate it to begin firing fires

Really dangerous and frustrating.
