We'd purchsed 4 Kitchenaid microwaves (Design KCMS1555RSS-INCH) in Feb. 06. Roughly, 6 mo. Previously, among the models malfunctioned (Serial # FGS3006428), within the off style - the system stayed on and began smoking. The lighting and change-desk inside stayed on while device reviewed/caught fire. We'd to disconnect device. A week ago, another device (FGS3006313) did the same. I named Kitchenaid to record deficiency device plus they delivered technology. To diagnosis problem. He explained the transformer had caught fire. He mentioned he never observed that happen before as well as in his viewpoint believed the motherboard (pc) has triggered this to occur. I simply got off telephone with Kitchenaid plus they appear bored with the security risk these devices could cause. I talked with John Cuhn, Security Guide at Kitchenaid/Whirlpool. Kitchenaid has declined to remain behind their product (refused demand to help invetigate/restore our devices) and that I am worried that additional uses of the design might encounter fireplace as a result of this item.
