Two men selling cheap home theatre systems for way more than what they cost out of the back of their SUV

In a parking lot two gentlemen in a newer model black Ford Explorer/Expedition approached me with a pitch for brand new speaker system. They gave me some bogus lines about how great the speakers are, and that they cost almost $2500 and would sell them to me for a couple hundred, so I agreed to see them.

From there I looked at the speakers and the papers they had for them, which seemed pretty legit. They told me that an extra set was put on the truck so they were just selling it to make a little extra cash. I thought it was a great deal and that there was no harm in it so I agreed.

I went to the ATM and got them there money. One of the gentlemen, "Todd", a heavier set white male who spoke with a lisp, gave me his phone number and even offered to come help me set the speakers up.

Once I got home I looked on the internet only to find out it was a complete scam that has been going on all over the nation. The speakers are not of good quality at all. They are poorly put together and often times do not even work.

I am actually a little embarrased to post this report because of how studpid I feel for buying into such a "great deal", but I feel it might help some other clueless victim from making the same mistake. So if you are approached by two men in a black Ford Expolrer/Expedition with the Florida liscense plate 795JMA, just walk away and save your money
