This New York City area company advertises "highest cash paid for used cell phones". What we discovered was that upon sending this outfit a high end fully functional Motorola PDA set was "phone disqualified" as they claimed the speakerphone was not working. Therefore, as this company does not offer a reduced or "residual" value in lieu of the promised purchase price as other reputable acquirers do, the transaction is a total loss as they simply sell the units to other parties unless the sender remits a money order in advance for return of the set.

In my opinion, this company is a total sham in that they offer nothing on phones sent to them by
simply "disqualifying" the set and requiring money (ransom) be sent to them in the form of a money order for return of the phone.

There is no customer service to speak of as the company has no published business phone and any method of contact other than via e-mail or perhaps their physical location. After repeated e-mails for response, someone named "Jane Lee" eventually replied back with the demand for payment which was due within 14 days, after 12 days had already elapsed.

The bottom line; there are many reputable places to send your no longer used cell phone handset for some residual value or donation, however, NOT THIS COMPANY! Phoneiscash implies endorsement from major media, i.E. CBS, NBC, etc. And this appears bogus to dissuade consumers into believing they are a reputable operation. Based of my personal experience and that of others, Phoneiscash aka. Micro Media is NOT a reputable concern.
