Arden Hills, MN Huge defect rate in ITAR - Quality process in constant dismay!

As a former Quality Assurance Inspector with SQA (Supplier Quality Associates) in Rolling Hills, CA, contracting to Celestica in Arden Hills and assigned to ITAR, I observed a consistent and alarming defect rate on their printed circuit boards for military defense and aerospace applications.

The quality process, confirmed by other SQA inspectors that I stay in contact with, are continuing to consistently find enormous amounts of board and sub assembly defects with conformal coatings in connectors and other keep out areas, component damage, very large percentage rating of rework logged in the FMS (Factory Management System) computer data base, very poor quality rework and touch up, frequent material handling without ESD (Electro Static Discharge) protection, excessive lead height protrusions and more.

This affects the reliability / function and life of the completed assembly.
