I brought the swiffer wetjet for $19.54, I brought this mop because I wanted something that was cleaner and I was tired of using the same mop to mop my kitchen floors and then my bathroom floors. The kit comes with a starter cleaning solution in which I discovered has a lot less ounces than the refill. The starter solution lasted about 2 weeks, I purchased re-fill for $4.99, this solution lasted for 2 weeks. Once the solution ran out, I needed a quick fix until I can go to the store to purchase another one. I tried to remove the cap from the mop to fill it with my own cleaner, but they engineered it so that you cannot open it to use your own solution. I then attempted to use my own solution is a pail and pour it onto my floor and utilize the mop to soak it up. The pad then ripped away from the mop. They have engineered in a way to keep the consumer spending money on their products only.

About 2 months after having the mop, the batteries went dead. I had to purchase 4 AA batteries for $3.00. Then I ran out of pads, and they cost anywhere from $8.00 to $12.00 depending upon the count. I soon realized that the upkeep of this mop is not worth the hassle specifically if you are on a budget. The traditional bucket and mop does not look so bad afterall, after my experience with the swiffer wetjet.
