Ripoff comes to San Diego, CA

Electronics and household app.

My roomate came home from work today all excited about his new home theater system. That got me excited too, as I love having surround sound speakers amplifying the beautiful sound quality of our DVD's.

He had to purchase a reciever separately as he did not own a component system prior to this purchase. After doing an initial hook-up, I noticed how poorly the speakers sounded. I realized we didn't have the correct cabling to connect the reciever to the subwoofer. But before I had him go and get that, I wanted to see how much the speaker system cost him.

Lo and behold, I found this website. I asked him where he bought them and he confessed that they were hot. The guy told him the same story as in these other claims. Now I'm sure the speakers are the problem, and that he was ripped off $250 bucks.

Well, he's going to get some "legit" speakers, but it would be nice if this scam were put to a stop.
