In addition to the hundreds of complaints already shotgunned across the Internet, Wal-Mart sold these units which never had any FCC ID afixed to them as required by law for electronic devices.

Our 6-week old set quit taking remote, then even set-top commands and had to be shipped cross-country for repair.

Due to the broad array of failures Ilo TVs have experienced, I believe they were built with 'barrel parts, ' which are sorted out during component manufacture as sub-standard and wholesaled literally in barrels to unethical parts distributors who then sell them as prime stock at irresistable prices to whoever doesn't care about quality.
The failed remote belonging to our Ilo 32HD set will only function if sprayed with freeze spray via the battery compartment despite the IC that has been used in millions of remotes without problems, a PT2222
The LCD screen has a vertical flaw just outside the standard aspect field that was only seen when we first used it in HD mode employing the whole screen.
It is essentially junk-

I will never buy ANYTHING for more than $100 at Wal-Mart in the future since they do not stand behind the products they sell.
I can afford the lost hundred but the lost $850 stings and will not be forgotten.
