42" Sharp HDTV Ordered but never delivered

On 21-May, I placed an order for Sharp 42" LCD HDTV. The price was great and the shipping was $0.01. Amazing deal! I received a confirmation of my order via email.

After 1.5 weeks of no activity, I decided to call. That's when I found out the truly horrific customer service. I was placed on hold mercilessly and eventually disconnected. Called back - same thing and no person or no music on the line. I hung up and decided to send an email instead which I did. No response for days. Called back again and happened to talk to a rep after mercilessly on hold. I was told my order was shipped on 28-May. I was happy to learn that and patiently waited for the next whole week. When no activity, I decided to send another email to know the status of shipment and got no response. After 3 days, I decided to call again and once again I could not talk to a soul as I was on hold forever and finally disconnected. I sent yet another email.

Then on 16-June, I called again determined to figure what's happening with my order. After on-hold for 15 minutes, person on the phone transferred me to another person who transferred me to another. It was weird why my call was routing from person to person. Finally, my call was disconnected. I called again determined to know the truth of my order. Finally, got to talk to a person who told me that my order on * Back Order *!!! And it will take another 3-4 Weeks! I told myself - why they told me my order was shipped on 28-May. I became enraged and told them to cancel my order.

Overall, I personally think this company is a ripoff. They are an insult to online shopping. I have learned a lesson not to trust online only retailers. If I knew how to, I'd like to report ProjectExport.com to Better Business Bureau and teach this company a lesson for playing with customers' feelings, trust, and money.
