False Advertising

Put me in the category of being stupid. I fell for this scam and I am hoping I get my money back. Within 2 days my card was actually charged and money taken out of my bank account. The Magicjack chat line is of no help. They read from a book of responses and will only acknowledge that the money was put on hold by them and anything else was the bank's fault. However, according to the bank, the only time money can come out of my account is when a company has my information and requests the funds through the Federal Reserve.

I have processed the paperwork for my bank to seek to get the money back and I am requesting a new card number (so should you because these people can hit your card forever now that they have your information and there is nothing the bank can do about it).

I will also go through the proper channels in the State of Florida. The following numbers may be of help. They were taken from Thomas' complaint on June 6. I then called the Fl. Governers Office,
Agriculture Department, Consumer Affairs, 1=800-435-7352, and filled out a form for them, and returned it, Electronically, (Takes 2 days) then also faxing them pertinent info, like bank statement showing where Magic Jack had pulled the money out of the bank, any other info you might think might help you to get your money back. That is what they need. Fax NO. Is 1-850-410-3804, Attn: Mediation Enforcement / Right now that is pretty much to where I am now. If anyone has received their money back, please let us know. I am afraid, however, it is gone for good.
