"Unprofessional-Fly-By-Night-Operation"

We were in need of TV repair and we located Valley TV Service in our local phonebook. We called and left a message. To our surprise (or as now we realize, our bad luck), we recieved a call back that evening from Gary Krutz who apparently is the owner/operator of Valley TV Service.

He asked if he could stop by that evening since he was close. We had explained the problem we were having to him over the phone and he felt it could be repaired. He arrived at our house at 8 P.M. And sayed until well past 10 P.M. After accomplishing little and talking endlessly, he said he had to take our circuit board to his "shop" in Berwick, PA and replace some curcuits on it and he would be back the next evening to put it back in.

He did not show up the next night, but three days later, and once again stayed over 2 hours. He was again unable to make the TV work properly and told us he had to take the curcuit board again to his "shop" and put another part in, as the part he installed was defective.

Unfortunately, we are way too trusting. We allowed him to leave with our curcuit board. This occured over one month ago. We have left numerous messages for him to no avail. Evidently, he has no physical address for his business as he operates out of his van. We have even tried to locate his house, but we have been unable to do so as of now.

We do not expect to hear from him ever again. Our purpose in documenting this incident and filing a report is to hopefully prevent this fraudulent businessman, Mr. Krutz, from taking advantage of anyone else...
