Was lied to about the Military Discount from ALLTEL

My husband and I walked into Altel to sign up with new service as he had just recently returned from 13 month deployment in Iraq. I did my homeowrk and found that the my cirle that alltel offers is the best offer out there. So we wated alltel for that reason.

We walked in prepared to get teh minimun plan with the cheapest phone. We were looking at a family share plan with a total cost of $100.

Well the sales lady sat down with us and said "this is what I recommend." and she recomended getting the blackberry smart phones. That plan was $100 plu $40 for a second line. But the kiker is she said cus my husband is military he just has to submit his military email on the alltel website and we would get 15% off the bill. Well that would only be $120 she said. So ok $20 more for a pretty awesome plan with unlimimited internet. Cool. We are down with that.

Well we did the submitting of the email address and well first it says you have to wiat 30 days before it takes effect. Then we get an email stating that cus we are on the smart phone plan we dont qualify to be eligible to use the military discount. So now after taxes we are stuck with a bil of $163. Ok so this is crap so we go into the alltel place and tell them we want to chagne our plan. And they said we have the cheapest one we can get with the phones we have. Now originlly the swales lady told us we coudl change our plan at any time. And now they say cus we have smart phone we have ot have smart plans and we go the cheapest one there is. We said that the woman who signed us up told us outright lies and that was crap and all they said is sorry there isnt anything we can do. She doesn't work here anymore.

So now we can buy out our plans for $400 and start fresh wastig $400 or buy new phones for $130 a piece at the cheapest and get cheaper plans or just keep what we got and pay the $160 for the next 2 years. Its bull.
