Evasive, dishonest by not following through with promises to send DVD. VCR recorde

For Christmas my sister-in-law gave us an DVD Recorder VCR Combo model DRC8320N and it didn't work. I called Thompson Inc. And they gave directions to send the unit to them in Socorro, Texas and we would receive a replacement unit in two weeks as this model was no longer being made, they would upgrade to a newer model. We received confirmation that the unit was received and delivered in El Paso, Texas on January 16th.

We started calling in early February and each time they said call back in another week, each time they said they had no information in their computer. Each time we gave them the SR# 04198011 number assigned at the start of communication with them and after a while they eventually found documentation. It is all very shady and dishonest because they never sent us an e-mail confirming when the unit would arrive here when they said it ws being sent and, of xourse, they didn't send one.

We want our DVD Recorder VCR Combo. We spent $20.00 to ship it to them as per their instructions. Thanks for any help you can give us.
