Heater comes on even when oven is turned off

We purchased a Sears Kenmore Stove about five years back. Nowadays, I switched the stove onto preheat and so I might make biscuits. After cooking the snacks at 370 Y, I switched off the stove. After couple of minutes, I popped the stove to get rid of the snacks and recognized the leading heat component was red-hot using the stove hot and also the snacks burned-out. The only path to obtain the coil to prevent heat was to disconnect the stove in the store. It has occurred a few occasions.
