Bait and Switch tactic to sell you overpriced accessories, and if you don't buy overprice accessories then you are backordered again and again

You see the great price online. They email you to verify. Then they try to sell you a accessory package that is overpriced. You tell them no and then you get a email like the one below stating that it is on backordered. I got this several times. I ordered before Christmas and on the first notice of the backorder I did not think anything about it so I put a picture of the camera in my wife's and daughter's stocking and told them it was on backorder.

On the second notice of backorder after I called them to see what was going on. I could get the camera if I ordered the packaged deal but if not then camera was on back order. They would not send just the camera they said they have that is for the overpriced package deal. Wife and daughter a little disappointed but we won't let companies like this bother us. They just need to be known about to prevent other people from having to deal with this.

However, these products shall be available again within about 5-6 weeks from the date of this email.

We would like to notify you that we still have not charge your credit card. Once we have the products you ordered available again, we will send you another email notification and only then, you will be billed for the products which will be shipped.

If you would like to maintain your order on the backorder list, you do not have to perform and additional act.

If you would like to cancel this order, just reply with the phrase Please cancel order# xxxxxx and we will take care of the rest and destroy any sensitive information included your order.

Please note that in case you modify or cancel your order before it is processed and/or shipped, you will NOT incur any cancellation fees.

2- E-mail us at xxx with the order number in the subject.
