My first unethical and fraud encounter in USA, courtesy bwayphoto.com Brooklyn

I ordered a PAL version of Canon camcorder (ZR-850, @ $299.00) from this site, impressed by the certification and recommendations posted on it. Same day i got e-mail asking me to call for confirm the order.

I was told that camcorder comes with test battery back which lasts for 20-30 mins and i need to pay another approx $150$s. I was not told about the model # of the battery pack and told that the upgraded battery lasts for 2-3 hours. Once i refused, the sales guy told all good stories and make me agree for a NTSE version (which is $219) with the upgraded battery pack in the same price... Sees like not a bad deal to me. I am first time business visitor in US and with my experience, impressed by the moral standards and business ethics at every store (online as well as retail)... I accepted.

BUT I was surprised to see that i got NTSE version of the camcorder with the battery pack (BP-2L5) which comes in the factory pack itself... I confirmed from canon website and the reference guide sent in the box. On top of it, there is no mention of separate battery in the invoice.

I tested the battery performance to ensure if i might have the right one, but this battery drained off in hardly 35 minutes (with 4 mins recording and 5 power offs)

Now i am calling, e-mailing them... But no use. I just got one response from them after my 5 mails saying that i got the upgraded version of battery... No mention of model # of actual battery which comes with camcorder / nothing ab't why the extra $80 i paid is not shown against any item in the invoice... The invoice is for $299.57$ (for ZR-850, which is $219 on their site even today when i am writing this report)

It was the most bitter shopping exp i had in US which i had not seen even in the countries notorious for the malpractices. I did mistake believing these guys and it cost me hardly $80... But for sure the impression it had created on my mind (and chain of my friends) about the online shopping sites in US... I strongly suggest everyone to keep away from such companies and wish if someone can tell me the quick way to inform their acts to the right authority... Who can make sure that they should not keep on doing such practice to my innocent friends... Who may fall in their trap.
