GE Ceramic Top Electric Stove
Buyer beware!

GE ceramic top electric stove/oven Product Number AB968S0H2SS - about 3 years old.

Beware: oven front is applied with double stick tape - mine fell off on my 77 year old mother's foot and smashed into 1000 pieces of class, along with the stainless body. She was cut but no lasting damage. Then I noticed the double stick tape. Give me a break... A $1000 stove.

I contacted GE customer service and repair service. Repair service got back with me first and said that GE has since redesigned the door. He could get them to pay for door but not service but I should try. I talked with customer service - she contends that this is not a known/widely documented problem and they would not pay for repair service labor. I asked why it was then redesigned and she gave me some story about constantly updating their product. She didn't seem to care that I stated that I would never buy a GE product again.

Home visit and 9 minutes labor cost me $174.95.

If you have this stove - beware. This is a danger to self, pets. Children, and kitchen floors!
