This is the second big screen tv I have bought from this Best Buy. And the second one that has been a piece of sh*. The tv I have now, a 40 inch HDTV from Samsung, has now been in for repair 4 times. They still will not replace it, even though their warranty states that after 3 times with same problem, they will give you another tv.
I have spoken with every manager available in the store; plus driven a 150 mile round trip several times to speak with them in person (I live way out in the mountains). The one time I went to speak with one of their managers (they seem to replace these guys every few months), he actually hid out on me. After I found him in the store, he told me he had to take care of one other thing, then would talk to me.

After waiting 15 minutes, I see Greg, behind the counter waiting on people. After that, he disappears to the "employee section" of the store, never to be seen again. I have spoken with other managers (who in the beginning seemed nice), who have said they contacted "higher up" division people, but never got resolution either.

Next, they had NEW contact me. A "liason" between unhappy customers and Best Buy. They are suppose to help facilitate a resolution. What a joke! The girl, who was totally inept, even left me a message stating that she told her supervisor "my whole tv had just fried and nothing would work". Not true! I have had rattling speakers (sounds like a kazoo) since I bought the thing. Dont know where she got this info on it "being fried". I suspect they tried to push that theory as it would mean it is not the same problem for the 3rd time, thereby meaning they would not have to replace it.

I was also told I live to far out to have their "authorized rep" fix it (they dont tell you that when you buy it). So have been dealing the first 4 times with a place that has employees you can barely understand. Then the owner of the shop tells me he doesnt even like dealing with these guys cause he gets a runaround too. Told that to Best Buy and they told me Romero's has no choice, he has a contract with us.

So now after all these unsuccessful fix it jobs (they have replaced nearly everything on the tv), they now have a new repair shop (Rainbow) calling me to fix the speakers (cant understand them either).

I had already told Best Buy I will not accept a 5th fix it job (as warrenty states), I want the tv replaced. There is so much more, I would have to write another novel to tell you what I have been thru. I also have recordings of some of their BS, which I told them I was going to do.

Bottome line: I have a $2500 piece of crap; with a $329 service plan I bought, and after 10 months, NOTHING has been done. Oh except running me ragged with emails, calls, car rides, faxes etc; all of which has cost ME money. With all the problems with all these Best Buy's, why is there no civil actions against these RIPOFFS!
