S50 Radio Mail-In Rebate Submission Returned As Expired

Electronics and household app.

I purchased an S50 radio on December 12 through Sirius.com. It was advertised with a $100 mail-in rebate (National Holiday Rebate Offer). I went to the site web-rates.com and filled out the "Internet Submission" form. I then activated the S50 and purchased a 6-month subscription.

On January 26, I mailed in all the required rebate items to the specified address, a PO Box in Minnesota. I was supposed to allow 10 weeks to receive my rebate. Ten weeks later I hadn't received it.

On April 11, I emailed Sirius Customer Care as I was directed by the web-rebates site ("Please contact Sirius if you have any questions about the status of your rebate.") I received no response to this email. I did the same thing again on April 23 and still received no response.

I called Sirius on May 14 and explained the situation. They told me that they didn't handle rebates, that another company did. I then told them that this other company's website told me to contact Sirius. They then told me the rebate should only be good for $50 and not $100. I assured them that it was $100. Eventually, they told me to mail in all of my rebate information again and gave me the same PO Box address in Minnesota.

My second rebate submission was returned by the post office, unopened and stamped with the message "Offer Expired - Return to Sender."

I've spent too much time emailing, talking on the phone, and mailing information; all to no avail. This rebate offer is a complete ripoff. Sirius is not to be trusted.
