Electronics and household app.

These two guys in a newer model white Dodge Caravan, followed me into the back of the shopping center that I work at. They gave me the same story that I have read many times since I looked it up online.

They were on a delivery, and the loader at their company accidently gave them 4 pairs of speakers instead of 4 single speakers, and they wanted to get rid of them so their supervisor wouldn't take them for himself (since the speakers were already paid for). Of course I was a dumbass, and didn't think about the fact that they had at least 12 speakers loaded in the van.

They showed me a supposed invoice for the speakers, and a "spec sheet" which showed a retail value of the speakers (something like $1200 a peice.) They were asking $600 a pair, but I kept telling them no, and they were getting ready to leave, but then the guy driving jumped out of the van, grabbed two speakers, reached in my window, unlocked my door, and threw both speakers in my backseat.

I figured they probably weren't actually worth what they said, but they pulled one out of the box and showed it to me, and it really did look like a high quality speaker. The name Audiofile did ring a bell, so I figured I must have seen them somewhere else before. I ended up paying these guys $320 cash for a pair.

Once I got home, I went online to look at the detailed specs on the speakers, and surpise, suprise! No manufacturer Home page for the company. Then I started seeng articles about these speakers, all referring to the fact that it is a scam.

The two guys that approached me were white males, and looked like they were both in their early to mid twenties. I got to talking to one of the guys who rode with me to the ATM, and he told me that he lives in Daytona Beach, and that he had just moved to Florida about 5 months ago. The other guy said that he's from Altamonte Springs, which was where their supposed store is located. Unfortunatly, I didn't get a chance to get the license # on the car, although I came across a post earlier from some guy in Orlando that had the exact same thing happen to him, but he had the license plate # for a white dodge caravan (probably same people / group of people.)

If anyone else out there was smart enough to get any actual information, such as the supposed company they work for, an address, email address, etc., please let me know. I want to personally make sure this sh* is taken care of, so if anyone else out there happens to have any more info on this, please ;post theri information.
