Failed to honor their Springtime Celebration $30 mail-in rebate for the SuperPen Professional

Electronics and household app.

Purchased a product that had a $30 mail-in rebate with manufacturer.

According to rebate (offer #72355), "receive a $30 dollar Mail in Rebate with the purchase of SuperPen Professional or SuperPen Translator UPC No. 630913000431 and 630913000394 between 2/15/06 and 3/31/06 from any Wizcom Authorized Reseller. Request must be postmarked by 4/30/06."

Purchased SuperPen Professional on 3/28/06 from Buy.com and postmarked letter on 4/26/06. Received notification from Wizcom on 11/3/06 (postmarked 10/23/06) that offer was rejected because the "receipt you submitted was dated after the qualifying period for this promotion".

Called 877-776-6188 to inquire as to reason for rejection and customer service employee and manager admitted a mistake was made but that the rebate program had closed on 7/23/06 and that they could no longer offer the rebate.

Because the notification of rejection was on 10/23/06 and because the rejection was an error, the company should not be able to close a rebate program on 7/23/06 and then notify of rejections on 10/23/06.

This is unfair. Thus, Wizcom should honor the $30 rebate.
