Street Scam City of Industry CA

Electronics and household app.

I was approached at a stop light and asked by some guys if I would be interested in some stereo speakers that they needed to get rid of before they dropped off the rest to their boss. This was June 4th in Nashville, TN. The two guys were in a four door Green Explorer.

One told me his name was Dan, the other guy just sat in the car and agreed with everything his buddy said. The guy I spoke with was about 5'7 to 5'9 had long side-burns and an orange hat on. The guy in the car had his tongue pierced as well as his lip. He too was wearing a ball cap (white) with beige sunglasses.

I didn't get a look at the license plate so I don't even know if it was a Tennessee tag. The brochure they had for the speakers listed them at nearly $800 dollars a piece. They said their boss sells them for $900. There needs to be a better way of getting the word out about this scam.

The speakers are unopened and wrapped. They look like a legitimate product, but of course if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I haven't even hooked the things up yet to see if they work or how they sound.
