Another declined rebate ripoff

For Christmas I bought my sister a digital camera, SD card and HP printer at Staples. All three had rebates. All rebates were mailed Dec. 30.

Got the Staples rebate, got the SD card rebate, got a form letter from HP— $50 rebate declined.

I called HP. I was told that I mailed in the wrong UPC code. There were 3, all identical. I was told to mail in the correct UPC and wait 1.5 months. I mailed in the other two UPCs and the letter came back to me. Seems the Young America, Mn. Center no longer existed.

I called again. I was told that they would make notes to my account and to mail the rebate form to HP Resubmit in Arizona and wait another 1.5 months.

That was in April. Think I got my HP rebate? Well, did you get yours?

I didn't think so.

Do you think I'll ever buy another HP product?

I didn't think so.

The ink has their highest profit margin. There are choices other than giving more money to HP. I'm looking into third party cartridges and/or refills.
