Ripoff doesn't care for it's customers

Purchased stereo and speakers for car on 6-12-06.installed on 6-14-06.installer did not check radio and speaker functions and rear speakers did not work.

There is a checklist in customer waiting area that the technician is to check equipment functions, go over functions with custoemer, set radio stations and
vaccum floor board of car. None of these were done. I went back to store and was told to come back later to have problem fixed. Problem is I live far
away and it was more than a 50 mile round trip. Asked manager to discount $10 for gas for them not installing properly. Manager was rude and unhelpful.

I was told to call 1-888-BESTBUY. These people were just as rude and unhelpful as the store manager. So, I filed a complaint with the BBB and also my State Attorney Generals Office. Then I looked up Best Buy's Corporate phone number. It is 612-291-1000. All I did was push the option to get an operator and explained to her I had an issue with a store that had not been resolved and she put me through to a man that gave me my $10 and apologized profusely.

They did help me, but I should not have had to jump through so many hoops to get satisfaction. The rep at corporate informed me that he did not think my
request was unreasonable at all considering the price of gas today. My main point is to let people know to call 612-291-1000 and let the corporate people
know what is going on and to file complaints with their BBB and Attorney Generals. If a pattern emerges, action will be taken.
