Copy machine rip-off

A salesperson for Danka came to our office in March of 1998 offering to lease a copy machine to our company for one year (verbally) at approximately $100. A month. We paid monthly and found their statements (ABC credit company) very unsatisfactory, therefore, we called several times to have them remove their machine. They stated we had a "payoff" amount, which was NOT stated to us originally.

We left many messages with Mike Lyons, of Danka to return our call BEFORE 1pm or fax us whatever was necessary. He always called back after 1pm. Finally, months later, he faxed us a "payoff" of $2156.20!!! This was in Jan. Of 2000! We thought the contract expired March of 1999 & we could just turn the copier back to Danka!

We have been arguing with Danka for almost a year now to no avail! Now we have their copy machine & want to return it. We feel we have paid enough on this copier and want to end the unsatisfactory relationship with Danka.
