Ripoff, product didn't work, allowed me to return but charged $75 disconnect fee

My wife gave me the Sirius set for my car and office for my birthday. When I received it, I tried to make it work in both the office and the car.

Frequent calls to Sirius got nowhere, other than them telling me what additional equipment they could sell me that MIGHT fix the problem.

After repeated failures, I decided to return the items. I got credit from the retailer for the equipment. When I contacted Sirius, they said there would be a $75 disconnect fee because I didn't cancel the service within 3 days of purchase. Since my wife bought it more than 3 days prior to my birthday, it was physically impossible to cancel within that time period.

I traded a significant number of emails with them (mine we original and theirs were canned responses). The final upshot was that they would under no circumstances refund the $75 because I didn't cancel within the three day period.
